Our history

 

Produits Miniers Wilson is a worldwide mining products distributor. The company is based in Val-d’Or and was founded in 1981 by Mr. Kevin Wilson. Knowing that the economy of the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region is essentially relying on natural resources including mining and forestry, Mr. Wilson saw a golden opportunity to start a business in the upstream of the mining industry. It’s in the early 1980’s that Produits Miniers Wilson have expanded and moved to its current location.

 

Underground mines are the primary customers of the company which is also able to distribute products for open-pit mines as well as for major construction projects. Its large and diverse customer base allowed the company to gain experience in this field and therefore conquer international markets.

 

Renowned for its service and large inventory, the company distributes products to several mining projects in Quebec and Canada for mining companies such as Agnico Eagle Mines and IAMGOLD Corporation.
